Cal’s was born!

Founded in November 2023 by an Australian living in Chicago (via Los Angeles), Cal’s was born out of a craving for something that didn’t exist: fast, made-to-order breakfast and real coffee that wasn’t over-processed or microwaved. In Australia, no one wants nuked food or burnt coffee — so when Cal couldn’t find anything that hit the mark, he built it himself.  Cal’s is a neighborhood spot with cheeky charm, where hospitality is real, the coffee is handcrafted, and breakfast actually means something. It’s a place to meet, recharge, and connect over good food made fast — without sacrificing quality.

As active members of the OTMRA, we invest in neighborhood initiatives, from youth barista training to sustainability projects. Every cup you enjoy supports a wider circle of connection and impact.
